Afterthought Software director Andy Duller has applied to be an official ambassador for STEMNET, the body which creates opportunities to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

STEMNET ambassadors offer their time voluntarily to enthuse and inspire students within schools about STEM subjects.

Andy says: "I have been aware of the good work STEMNET does for some time and was interested in getting involved. I was a university lecturer before my career in software so education has also been close to my heart.

"I think we should be doing everything possible to encourage young people to become interested in science and science-based careers. More and more businesses are science based so the work of STEMNET and similar organisations is crucial to our economic future as a country.
